Adopt a Platoon - 444 is a not for profit organization located in New York State’s North Country. What began eight years ago as an effort to send care packages to a friend in Afghanistan quickly turned into a Platoon adoption program.

Our mission is simple: to serve and salute the men and women keeping our country safe. We do this by raising money locally to purchase and send care packages throughout the year.

In addition to monetary support from generous donors, we rely on fundraisers like our 112 Mile Challenge and Veterans Day 5K.

Last year we had the honor of adopting six platoons. In December 2020 alone, we had five trucks filled with care packages to send to our warriors. For the soldiers not so far away, but still not home for the holidays, we provide them with Visa gift cards to purchase a well deserved holiday meal.

Adopt a Platoon - 444 values respect, freedom, and selfless service above all else. By supporting the brave men and women who choose to serve and protect our country, we are doing our part to recognize their sacrifice.

If you have a loved one or know of someone who is serving our country - please visit our Nomination Page so we can send them a care package.

A special thank you to the very first platoon we adopted - #444.
